Highlights and lowlights are slight variations in color that add depth or brightness
to the hair. It is not as bold as color streaking and there is less color added than in
a color weave. The foiled color may be added to the top, or bottom to change the
depth of the hair color. Low lights may be added to grey hair to created a salt and
pepper look or to diminish the amount of grey in the hair. Highlights may be added
to light brown or blonde hair to create a sun kissed look.
