Sara
When I begin with a new client, I like to understand the client's hair effort and
maintenance they would like to apply to their hair. The initial meeting is like going
on a semi-blind date. They're somewhat familiar with my work when they call me,
but it boils down to chemistry and trust. You become very close to clients during the
process- better make sure you like each other.
I began cutting and coloring hair in 1997 and have enjoyed every minute of it. I
have taught color theory in Oregon since 2003, and have assisted and advised in
many color correction applications in salons in Eugene and Salem, Oregon. I
continue my education in hair design and color by taking classes on new
techniques and cutting procedures for the latest styles.
Personally I have very strong ties to my family, my husband, son, and I enjoy
camping and spending time outdoors or with our extended families. We have a
young son who loves to play outside and ride bikes. I am an animal lover and have
two wonderful dogs, two spoiled cats and five chickens that lay tasty eggs. I have a
thriving vegetable garden at home and in my little bits of spare time you will find
me with a book. I enjoy what I do for a living and couldn't imagine having a different
career.
