Melissa
I enjoy being a team member at I Run With Scissors and part of the vision of a more
sustainable, community oriented salon. I have been with the salon for over two years I
love my work and am excited about sharing my passion for hair design with the
Eugene/Springfield community and building strong relationships with my clients.
I'm continually learning new hair techniques by taking classes on hair color, cutting
and new developments in the hair industry. I am currently working towards becoming
a certified EVO instructor. I spent one year in an in-depth training and apprentice
program using the salon house color line, in that time I have learned advanced color
correction, gray coverage and color theory. I learned under the Regional Color
Educator in Oregon.
Personally, I enjoy reading a variety of books and I volunteer Tuesdays at the
ASPCA working with the cats and kittens.
