IN THE COMMUNITY
At I Run With Scissors we strive not only to be part of the community but to help
create a healthy, sustainable, kinder community, now and in the future. By working
with local non-profit and outreach groups, schools, charity programs and individuals,
through donations and hands on charity work. I believe that our work and message of
hope will inspire you to reach out to these resources whether you are in need or

would like to donate time or money.
My theory on giving.....If we take the approximate population of Eugene/Springfield at 150,000 and each
of those people donated one hour a month of their time to help out in the community. Whether it be
helping a neighbor, the school closest to them, cleaning a park or natural environment or helping an
non-profit organization, just one hour a month will end up with 150,000 hours of community out reach.
That ends up equalling 208 people volunteering 24 hours a day in one month. All it takes is one hour a
month! Share this philosophy with your friends.
If you know of an organization that are in need and could use the salons help please email me with the name of organization, info on what they do
in the community, and how to contact them and I will get back to you as soon possible.        Contact
